Abstract

Nowadays antiferromagnets compete with ferromagnetic materials in the fields of active spintronics devices. Antiferromagnets are faster, higher protected from noise and more scalable than their ferromagnetic counterparts. However, their magnetic dynamics differs form the magnetic dynamics of ferromagnets and in many cases seems contrintuitive to « ferromagnetic community ». In my lecture I will highlight the peculiarities of antiferromagnetic dynamics in the presence of spin currents (spintronics) spin-orbit torques (spinorbitronics). After general introduction I will compare main features of FM and AF spintronics. As examples I will consider current-induced switching of AF nanoparticle depending on orientation of spin current polarization ; dynamics of AF domain walls in the presence of the Neel spin-orbit torques and time-dependent magnetic field.
